| C.O.O.R. Intermediate School District Special Education Department working in cooperation with six local school districts and several non-public schools provides a variety of services to over 1500 area handicapped students ages 0 to 25. The ISD Special Education Department coordinates programs and services that are too expensive for a single school district to operate or that are very specialized and serve only a few students. Support Staff services include: Consultant programs for Students with Autism, Visually Impaired, and Hearing Impaired, Teacher of Homebound, School Social Work, School Psychological Evaluations, Speech and Language Therapy, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and Transition Planning. Classroom programing includes programs for the Cognitively Impaired at the C.O.O.R. Education Center and the C.R.A.F center. The Special Education Department also runs the area Child Find and Early On Education Programs and does monitoring and data collection of special education services within the district. |
